It's time to get the old guard out, and I don't mean replacing Brown with his daughter. No, we need a General Manger/Director of Football Operations who can successfully run a team, not a Mom & Pop five and dime.

The Beatles put it best in their song aptly named "Revolution":
You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're doing what we can.
Do what we can, and revolt...

Mike Brown is cheap and it is reflected in the way he runs this team with poor management and poor trainers. Our only hope for a Super Bowl is to eliminate this and get someone in there who actually cares about winning vs. putting extra money in his already fat pockets.

Trade Chad for a late 1st. round pick and select two defensive players in the 1st. round and an offensive lineman in the second round. Pick a WR in the 3rd. round
Please Mike, Marvin and Katie do the right thing and unload Chad.

Thurman reinstated by NFL! Get your # 51's back out. He better be eating ceramic tile and rusted rebar for breakfast because he'll have a long season, if he ends up in the rotation, swallowing fullbacks instead of beers!
Posted by: Beau Parry | April 21, 2008 at 05:58 PM
Odell is back and pissed! This is the first good news of the off season.
Let's ride this wave of momentum into the draft and make amazing trade deals for Chad, I mean let's get some ferocious defenders and trade bait Chad around the league like a whore until we get the best deal.
There was a time when I would have done anything for Chad, anything, but now he has lost my undying, unloseable loyalty.
Then we can just draft Run DMC and blow the top off the north!

gotta love Mikey for the Chad stand he has taken. You also have to love him for..............? Well at least we bought him a stadium and made him richer. Not that excited about the draft since we will take a running back, or maybe a guard in rounds 1 and 2, maybe a corner back in 3 along with a TE with the compensatory pick. Then we can concentrate on defense. Thanks, Gary Yunger

It is easiest to arrive at your destination by having a driver who knows how to get there. Mike Brown does not know the way. The NFL should revoke his franchise rights for his inability to win over the past 17 years. I can't believe the city of Cincinnati gave money to help this idiot build a palace of incompetency. Like in Cleveland, the only way this city gets a winning football team is if the Bengals leave. I for one will be more than happy to buy a bus ticket for Mike and his family to leave. Good bye!
Keep the revolution going!

Pitchforks and torches, y'all, and meet at the Brown family compound. Reanimate the corpse of Paul Brown to explain to Mikey about apples that fall a good country mile from their trees- at least in terms of football acumen- or about the time the milkman visited Mommy. Put Peter Max images of Ocho's gold-toothed display on banners and tees- and call him "Che". Bring ownership to the community ala Green Bay and steal one of Parcells' personnel guys when he's not looking. Viva La Revolucion!

I'm a long suffering Bengals fan, and I didn't realize until the last few years that all of our troubles are a result of the bad management that is the sole legacy of the Mike Brown era. Posted by: Tanner K. Johnson | July 07, 2008 at 10:03 PM
This is it. The time has come to realize that #9 cannot win it alone. There's a man named White, a man named Geathers a man named Rivers, a man name Hall...what do these men have in common? They will return the Bengals to a top 10 defense this season. You can see the will and the force of one dark side coordinator...the man called Zimmer. The return of the noise will happen. The ground attack will be first, followed by an onslaught of passes from #9. Yes there will be victory..and we all, once again will chant the names of our favorite player in the Queen City.....

Posted by: Jimmy D. | August 24, 2008 at 12:13 AM
Mike Brown is a cheap bastard who has no clue or desire to assemble a winning franchise. He is taking your money and laughing all the way to the bank. Since he became GM the team has won 35% of their games and made the playoffs ONCE in 17 YEARS! He is a fake and a fraud and would NEVER be in football if he had not been the demon seed of his late great father Paul. Im done with this franchise. I might still watch a couple of games for yuks but I wont plan my day around watching and rooting for the poor bastards like I used to. Mikey boy has stolen the passion I used to have for this team. They will suck forever. Hopefully he will have to sell the team when there is no cap in 2010. He can use that money to open a halfway house for all the idiots he drafted and made millionaires who showed their appreciation by getting arrested and making his franchise the laughing stock of all professional sports. Im done.

Loyalty in the end will either drive you insane or make you insanely rich. I curse you mike brown, I curse that you have to endure the pain and dissapointment every year the way that thousands of hardworking fans do. I would love nothing more than to stick your egg shaped head into a vice and have somebody tatoo bengal stripes all over it you ghastly, wretched, cheap, scoundrel. Viva REVOLOUTION!!!!!!!

Not this year! I can't take the frustration of watching this three win season (one team will lay down, you will get lucky one game, and you will play like an NFL team for one game)the rest will be embarassing losses. It's so bad that I'm ashamed to were my Bengal shirts. Does Mike Brown feel this shame or does his money overide this feeling?
Posted by: Russ | September 10, 2008 at 09:21 PM
Lewis said they were not "consistent". He said they were 1 for 8 in third down coversions in the first half, and 1 for 8 in same in the second half. Excuse me! Is that not consistent? This is the most consistently bad football team that has ever existed, Pro or otherwise!

Why do we think the return of Odell is such a great thing?! Wake up Bengals fans! I'm in Indy still true black and orange but I see the Colts drafting players with deep consideration of their fit in the organization AND CHARACTER! Yeah, they've had their problems too but they laugh at ours! Plus they cut players that act up, not give them 5 to 6 chances (see story on recent Colts player who did some dumb things at:
http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080911/SPORTS03/809110461/1058/SPORTS03 )
If the Bengals start making this a priority, along with the organizational changes proposed by the eloquent letter to Mike Brown, I think we'll see a dramatic turn around.

As a Bengal fan near Cleveland I am sick and tired of Mike Brown pretending to run a football team. The only thing Mikie cares about is money. He cares nothing for fans that have supported him team for decades. The revolution will only succeed when Mike Brown steps down and allows people with football knowledge to run the team. Just because Paul Brown was a football God doesn't mean Mike is. PB had more football talent and knowledge in his pinky finger then Mike Brown ever dreamed of having.
